What are your Mission objectives?


Well first, our mission is divided into several missions conducted by several more or less independent groups.

Here are some of them:


Our primary mission is to enhance stellar catalogues like
those produced by hipparcos with a broader coverage
based on more stars at significantly reduced costs. (astrometry)
Next on our list follows long-term observation of variable stars
which is projected towards an extension of the work conducted by AAVSO.
Some other targets include, but are not limited to:
planetary observation (asteroid/comet tracking included),
satellite tracking (which is more or less unavoidable
due to the number of "particles" surrounding our planet),
gathering meteorological information with emphasis on atmospheric optics
neccessary for main objectives as well as image correction.

Our main mission (deployment and operation) is financed for
a garantueed period of 3 years, after which there
are options to proceed for another 2-5 years period of time.
During this time we plan to conduct about 3 or more complete surveys
and a vast amount of object specific observations.
